Chemo session number three

I had my third chemo session this past week. But the subject of this post is everything that has happened previously.

Nearly two months ago I had five sessions of radiation therapy. I was told at the time that it took sometimes weeks for the benefits of radiation to ‘kick in.’ The day after after the radiation therapy, I started chemotherapy.

This is from a prior visit. My brother, Mike, is on the left and my daughter, Kate on my right.

Well, as they said the benefits are ‘kicking in.’ The last time I went for chemo, four weeks ago, I came in a wheel chair, barely able to walk 50 feet independently. This time, with no wheel chair and only a cane. I managed to walk over a quarter mile between my hospital appointments. So, my body was definitely beginning to experience real benefits from the therapy.
