Walking is one of the best exercises there is.
Following are some really useful tips on getting the most out of that walk. Don’t forget besides getting cardiovascular benefit, you are also doing weight-bearing exercise, so you are building strong bones, too.

That’s why I made the title ‘How to get the most …” and not burn more calories. Walking is an excellent exercise. It burns less calories than a bike, but it benefits the bones which biking does not. I never knock walking as an exercise.

No harm, no foul, Jim. It is too bad that walking ‘gets no respect’ in the exercise world when it is superb – especially for us seniors. I walk every chance I get when I am not riding my bike.
