Happy July 4th!

Happy July 4th. For the benefit of those who might not remember – Independence Day is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence, which was ratified by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.

At the risk of anthropomorphizing, I wanted to include this shot of my newly adopted dog, Boots, because I thought he looked particularly patriotic.

    Happy 4th to you and Boots! I know dogs do not like fireworks but he should enjoy the rest of the day…walking and treats! Thanks for your health posts…I really appreciate your information very much!🐾🎇

      Thanks, Janine. Actually, I have been very fortunate in that Gabi, my previous dog, and Boots, both have no reaction to fireworks. I live by Navy Pier in Chicago where they shoot off fireworks two nights a week through the summer. I know that many of my neighbor’s dogs have bad reactions to the explosions.
