In my battle of the bulge, I found serving size and portion control to be the keys to my victory. Once you take charge of how much you are consuming, the battle is won. To continue on to robust good health, of course, you need to add regular exercise, too.

  1. When I lived in Spain, at first I was STARVING all the time, because I was used to having these ginormo portions all the time. Fast forward 2 months and 2 pants sizes: I wasn’t hungry all the time anymore and felt so much better. I’ve gotten to where when I go out to eat here in the States, I ask them to bring a to-go box with the meal and split it up 50/50 before I even take a bite. That way I’m not even tempted to eat WAY more than I should.

    • Thanks very much for sharing that. As I said in the post, I think serving size and portion control are the keys to weight control. And, if you want to be healthy too, start exercising regularly.
